ThE SerVANTS KITCHENS
THE CONVERTED SERVANTS KITCHENS PROVIDING A SELF CONTAINED ONE BEDROOM ONE BATH ACCOMMODATION WITH KITCHEN FACILITIES
The Servants’ Kitchens – A Historic Hideaway with Modern Comforts Nestled on the ground floor of the Servants’ Cottage, The Servants’ Kitchens is a beautifully restored one-bedroom apartment where the hum of history still lingers in the walls.
Once the bustling heart of the working estate, this was where meals were prepared, dishes scrubbed, and warmth was carried to the grand rooms of the Manor House. Today, this charming space has been thoughtfully transformed into a tranquil retreat — blending centuries-old craftsmanship with the ease of modern living.
“A Space Steeped in History, Step through the doorway and imagine the quiet echo of footsteps from a bygone era.”
The living room, once the Butler’s Office, now welcomes you with soft light, plush seating, and a gentle sense of calm — the perfect spot to curl up with a book or a glass of wine after a day exploring. The bedroom, converted from the old scullery, is spacious and serene, featuring a king-size bed dressed in crisp linens and soft textures. It’s a room designed for rest — yet filled with subtle reminders of its industrious past. The bathroom, once the pantry, has been reimagined with care and respect for the original architecture. You’ll find a large walk-in shower with high-end finishes and the original Victorian blue bricks lovingly preserved — a rare glimpse into the estate’s authentic fabric.
A Kitchen with Character!
The kitchen remains the soul of this apartment — a true homage to its history. The original Victorian range still stands proudly as a centrepiece, beautifully restored to celebrate the era when this space was alive with clattering pots and delicious aromas. With a fully equipped modern setup and a welcoming dining area, it’s the perfect place to share a home-cooked meal, enjoy a takeaway, or linger over breakfast while soaking in the atmosphere of a kitchen that has served generations before. The Perfect Blend of Past and Present Every detail of The Servants’ Kitchens has been designed to honour its heritage while offering all the comforts of modern living — heating, plush furnishings, and carefully curated décor that complements the story of the space. This isn’t just a place to stay; it’s a chance to live within history — surrounded by the craftsmanship, charm, and quiet dignity of a working estate reborn.
